The Legal Action Center of the City of New York designed, printed and distributed Resources for Recovery: State Policy Options for Increasing Access to Alcohol and Drug Treatment Through Medicaid & TANF, which had been written earlier.
Under the grant:
- The center staff designed the report, printed 3,000 copies and in November 2002 mailed copies to more than 1,000 people, including members of national and state associations involved with addiction services, policymakers at addiction-related federal agencies, addiction treatment providers, and representatives of national policy and advocacy organizations involved with Medicaid, TANF and addiction issues.
- The project director made a presentation about the report at the September 2003 meeting of the Purchasing Institute for Resources for Recovery in Scottsdale, Arizona. The report is also available online.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) provided a $27,296 grant from August 1, 2002 through July 2003 to support this effort.
