Serving as investment adviser and program monitor for the Strong Families Fund

This joint Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Kresge Foundation initiative was designed to demonstrate the value of service-enriched housing for low-income families. Under this grant, the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) will serve as the investment adviser and program monitor for the Strong Families Fund (SFF) initiative. This initiative is intended to demonstrate, using a pay-for-performance model, how service-enriched housing can be financed to improve outcomes for low-income families and generate savings for the public sector. CSH will work with the funders to develop the SFF initiative's structure and financial projections; review applicants and service plans; develop the targeted outcomes for the overall initiative and process for tracking the outcome metrics for the families; and process the performance payments to the developers. CSH will also provide technical assistance to the developers and their service partners in order to ensure the success of their projects and disseminate periodic reports on the fund to the field.
