Studying the impact of societal factors and the influence of health information technology on students' career choices in health care

This project will examine the impact of societal factors on students' choices to pursue careers in the health professions and assess technology acceptance and readiness among early career health professionals. A qualitative meta-analysis identifying personal, organizational and societal influences that impact career choices for nurses and medical assistant specialists will be conducted. Technology acceptance and readiness among early career professionals will be assessed through qualitative survey administration. Deliverables include three manuscripts to be submitted for publication.
