Developing a plan to educate small-business employees and owners about coverage under the Affordable Care Act and to increase enrollment

This grant will allow the Small Business Majority to prepare a report that will outline what is required to educate small-business owners about their coverage options under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and to equip them to guide their employees to resources about ACA's coverage options. Small-business owners and their employees represent a significant share of uninsured Americans, and ACA offers numerous options for both to obtain coverage. As with much of the law, these options are not well understood, and in order for implementation of the law to be successful, both owners and employees of small businesses will need to understand their options. Before considering a project to reach these audiences, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation needs to understand the full scope of what such a project would entail. The deliverable for this grant is the report.
