Collecting, archiving, and publicly sharing data for RWJF's Health and Medical Care Archive, 2013-2015
This renewal grant provides three more years of funding for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Health and Medical Care Archive to archive and disseminate RWJF-funded datasets for use by health services researchers. Since 1985, the Foundation has supported the Archive at the University of Michigan's Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR). The primary deliverable will be eight to ten new archived data collections annually. RWJF grantees will provide the datasets and documentation at the end of their grant period. Additional deliverables will include activities to raise awareness about the Archive and to increase its user friendliness, and training and technical assistance for users. This project is consistent with RWJF's interest in maximizing the effectiveness of its programs by disseminating findings and expanding their use. Over the next 24 months, RWJF will work with the staff at the Archive to identify other options for storing data and supporting users.
