Technical assistance and direction for RWJF's State Health Reform Assistance Network program

The State Network, a program designed to help select states implement the coverage expansion provisions of the Affordable Care Act, is an integral part of the Foundation's Coverage Team goal of covering 95 percent of all American's by 2020. This grant provides funds to continue the core technical assistance activities delivered to states in the areas of exchange development, insurance market reforms, Medicaid expansion, and using data to drive policy decisions. The program will provide direct, in-depth technical assistance to the 10 participating states through a network of national expert technical assistance providers and additional contractors as requested by the states. In addition to managing and guiding the direct technical assistance the program office at Princeton, in conjunction with partners at State Coverage Initiatives (SCI), will host an annual meeting, manage small group convenings hosted by the technical assistance providers, stay in constant contact with the states via state liaisons, and conduct webinars and disseminate products that result from technical assistance and meetings. The program year will kick off with an annual meeting in July and the timeline includes monthly calls with states and technical assistance providers, every other month webinars every other month and up to five in-person small group convenings on specific implementation topics.
