Supporting the Health 2.0 Developer Challenge for the RWJF Aligning Forces for Quality program

With previous support from the Foundation, Health 2.0 is running a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Aligning Forces for Quality Application Challenge (Challenge). The Challenge includes cash prize awards in the amount of $100,000 for first place, $25,000 for second and $5,000 for third. As goals of the Aligning Forces Challenge: (1) software-developer contestants will create and submit a software application that will help patients use publicly available inpatient and outpatient measures of health care quality from the Aligning Forces program; and (2) data from the Challenge will come from the 16 sites included in the Aligning Forces program and will include measures related to diabetes outcomes, antibiotic use, cancer screening, child health care and prevention. Health 2.0 has designated Internet Sexuality Information Services (ISIS), a 501(c)(3) entity, as fiscal sponsor for the Challenge. ISIS will hold the prize funds as the Challenge's fiscal sponsor and then dispense them to the appropriate recipients at the direction of Health 2.0. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has no role in identifying the ultimate challenge winners. Health 2.0 manages the Challenge, including judging the submissions.
