Supporting AGree, an initiative to transform food and agricultural policy, 2011-2013

This grant supports the first phase of AGree: Transforming Food and Ag Policy, an eight-year initiative to provide research and policy recommendations to the food and agriculture field, with the ultimate goal of creating an enhanced food and agriculture system. The key activities for the initiative will include research and analysis, creating a stakeholder base, educating policy-makers and making policy recommendations to change the U.S. food system by promoting health, increasing food security and creating jobs. Activities in this phase will include creating a research agenda, initial outreach to stakeholders and implementing a communications strategy. Deliverables will include research reports and white papers, policy recommendations, and media products, such as a website and mini-documentaries, to bring attention to the food system.
