Supporting development of a national network of state and local population health surveys

This grant project will: (1) support the development of the National Network of State and Local Health Surveys; (2) harmonize state and local comprehensive health surveys to develop comparable data that meets state and local policy and programmatic needs, as well as national health-policy-data needs; and (3) identify opportunities to integrate population-health-survey data with other datasets, reports and rankings in public health in support of existing Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) projects. Through deliverables such as an interactive website, online technical assistance tools and webinars, and in-person meetings, the University of California, Los Angeles, Center for Health Policy Research, will collaborate with the leaders of state and federal health surveys, as well as with other national public health partners, including the University of Wisconsin's Population Health Institute and the University of Kentucky's Center for Public Health Systems and Services Research. Another deliverable will be development of documents to support the RWJF agenda for public health systems and services research.
