Redesigning the Roper Center for more-efficient and cost-effective processing of public opinion data

This grant supports the three-phase redesign of the technical and procedural infrastructure of the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research. In Phase 1, the Roper Center will engage a consultant to conduct a workflow analysis of the center's processes to identify areas of redundancy, streamline production and integration of metadata and datasets from multiple sources, and help center staff develop common terminology and definitions. Phase 2 will involve process redesign by the consultant and staff that will include a detailed preferred-process map. Phase 3 will be the implementation phase of system changes recommended in Phase 2.
