The Foundation's Public Health Law Field-Building initiative was designed to support public health practitioners, their counsel and policy-makers in using law to promote, protect and improve health through technical assistance, training, legal analyses, products, and translation and dissemination delivered through a national network of public health law centers and key stakeholder groups. This grant supports a program-level evaluation of the two major programs under the Public Health Law major initiative. The evaluator will use a developmental-evaluation approach to: (1) assess implementation of the Public Health Law Field-Building program and Public Health Law Research program; (2) collaborate and coordinate with the lead evaluator and with program leadership; and (3) provide technical assistance, interim updates and reports to the program and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) staff to strengthen the evaluation and guide program implementation. Deliverables will include interim and final reports of evaluation findings in formats (e.g., Webinars and issue briefs) that the grantee and Foundation staff will collectively determine.
