Technical assistance and capacity for RWJF's New Jersey Health Initiatives program grantees, 2010-11

The Foundation's program, New Jersey Health Initiatives (NJHI), was designed to support projects in New Jersey that develop new approaches to resolving the state's health care needs, focusing on the Foundation's goal areas.The Support Center for Nonprofit Management works closely with NJHI staff to assist in determining the best strategies for addressing grantee needs through the customized workshop format, group consulting opportunities and other methods that may be appropriate. The Support Center designs and implements workshops and other services that enhance the capacity of NJHI grantees to successfully accomplish project goals. These workshops are led by presenters experienced in content area who are skilled "adult learning" facilitators who work in small groups, drilling down in key program areas. During this grant period, the Support Center will provide eight skill-building workshops/consulting sessions for current NJHI grantees and a group of CEOs representing current and former NJHI grantees.
