This is the second of four planned projects under this funding authorization supporting the National Priorities Partnership of the National Quality Forum (NQF). This project will support the following four tasks related to NQF's strategic goals: (1) executing action plans for the six national priorities developed through the work of NQF's National Priorities Partnership (NPP) planning grant; (2) laying the groundwork to fill critical health care disparity measurement gaps; (3) building a Web-based toolkit of NQF-endorsed, community-level measures and practices, and laying the groundwork for a standardized community-based, public-reporting dashboard for cross-community comparisons; and (4) evaluating the impact of NPP which is a voluntary effort. If NPP is to be successful, it is critical that it demonstrate value to stakeholders who have already invested time and energy. These volunteer stakeholders must work within their respective organizations and often must encourage policy-makers to take further action. This portion of the project component accounts for 4 percent of funding. It will support competitive bidding of the evaluation, design of research questions and data collection, and execution of the evaluation, including data collection and analysis. The evaluation team will establish an ongoing feedback loop for continuing assessment and refinement of the NPP work.
