Supporting a new facility and expanded services for children
Although the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation became a national philanthropy in 1972 and has operated on a national scale since then, it also has continued funding a limited number of local institutions and projects in the New Brunswick area and throughout New Jersey. It does so in part to honor the legacy of its founder, and in part to recognize the special responsibilities to the communities and the state in which it is located. This grant will help the Cerebral Palsy Association of Middlesex County, New Jersey, to: (1) construct a facility to relocate its administrative offices, now housed at the Pavilion and Lakeview School Campus; and thereby (2) free up building space at the campus to accommodate the expansion of the agency's pediatric services and creation of programs for special education and therapeutic services for Middlesex County children. The agency now is experiencing an unprecedented demand for its education programs and therapeutic services for special needs children.
