Effective messaging in support of children's health coverage
This project will advance health coverage initiatives for children and families through opinion research, polling and messaging to help communicate priorities to national and state advocates and galvanize their support for children's coverage. First Focus will conduct focus groups and a national survey of at least 800 registered voters to test messages and will use that information to develop a language dictionary, the Children's Health Lexicon. The lexicon will detail how to effectively communicate the priorities of the child health community to stakeholders and the public during the debate on health care reform. In addition to the lexicon, deliverables will include a report highlighting the results from the opinion research and surveys and a PowerPoint presentation for advocacy groups to use.
