Designing innovations in tobacco cessation products and services to boost treatment use and national quit rates
The Academy for Educational Development (AED) partnered with IDEO, a leading global consumer product design firm, to develop, apply and refine principles for re-designing effective treatments to improve their appeal, delivery and use, especially among smokers in underserved low-income and racial/ethnic populations. Collaboratively, AED and IDEO plan to develop a low-cost "innovation kit" that describes the design process and includes instructions for conducting the key needs assessment and re-design activities that are part of IDEO's consumer-based design process.
