Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Scholars in Health Policy Research

The Foundation's Scholars in Health Policy Research Program (SHPRP) was designed to provide postdoctoral training targeted to the most promising graduates of programs in the three disciplines of economics, political science, and sociology to advance their involvement in health policy research. This project renews support for the SHPRP in Michigan. To date, program training has included opportunities to learn more about public health and the health care system, with exposure to cross-disciplinary dialogue regarding health policy research, and with mentoring, resources and other types of support for the scholars' own research. The University of Michigan will continue to provide an excellent and rewarding fellowship experience in health policy.
