National Conference on Tobacco or Health 2006

Every three years, tobacco control professionals from around the world gather at the "World Conference on Tobacco OR Health" to network with colleagues and to learn about new research findings, successful strategies and interventions to prevent the diseases and deaths that result from tobacco use. The 13th World Conference was hosted by the American Cancer Society, in Washington, D.C., July 12-15, 2006. This grant provided partial support for the plenary session devoted to tobacco policy. The session examined the governmental and voluntary policies that have been employed across the world to regulate, control and prevent the use of tobacco products.
