Technical assistance and direction for Sound Partners for Community Health

The Foundation's program, Sound Partners for Community Health, was designed to support radio stations that demonstrate how community-centered journalism can positively affect the ways in which local health care issues are addressed.The purpose of this project is to undertake both broadcast programming and outreach activities, which will involve partnerships between local public radio stations and health organizations, educational institutions, and other media in their communities, to increase awareness of health care issues at the community level and stimulate people to become involved in public discussions. This grant will provide support for ongoing grantee monitoring, technical assistance, and program management for the Sound Partners for Community Health program.
