Evaluation of Covering Kids & Families (Phase 2)

The Foundation's program, Covering Kids and Families, was designed to increase the number of eligible children and adults who are benefiting from federal and state health care coverage programs. This program contract supports the second phase of the evaluation of the Covering Kids and Families (CKF) program. The evaluation is key to understanding: (1) the factors that affect the enrollment and retention of children and families in public health insurance coverage; (2) how CKF interventions have contributed to enrollment and retention; and (3) the sustainability of CKF strategies after the program has ended. What is learned from this evaluation will affect RWJF's future coverage strategies, as well as the state and national debates on coverage. Project deliverables will include a broad array of stand-alone and synthesis reports, highlight memos, policy briefs, journal articles, and presentations at national meetings.
