Supplement to the American Journal of Health Promotion on culturally sensitive physical activity interventions

There is little published information of evidence-based physical activity programs in black, Hispanic, Native American, and rural populations (children, adults, and older adults), and the impact of these programs on obesity. The purpose of this project is to publish and disseminate a peer-reviewed supplement of four literature reviews detailing the current knowledge on what is known about effective physical activity interventions for these groups of interest, how these interventions can be better adapted to their cultural needs and values, and their impact on obesity and recommendations for future research.
