Covering Kids & Families - Liaison Project

The Foundation's program, Covering Kids and Families, was designed to increase the number of eligible children and adults who are benefiting from federal and state health care coverage programs. This grant is one of five awarded to sites that were not funded under the Foundation's Covering Kids and Families (CKF) program. The purpose of this effort is to allow them to: (1) participate in the national CKF communications campaign, including Back-to-School, and serve as a contact for corporate and organizational partnership opportunities; (2) attend the CKF annual meeting and disseminate information gathered to state-level policy makers, enrollment facilitators, other key stakeholders in child health coverage issues, advocacy, business, and faith communities; and (3) convene an annual statewide meeting of key stakeholders on the issue of health care coverage for uninsured children, review existing barriers to coverage, develop a report on the outcome of the meeting, and disseminate these findings.
