Providing technical assistance, preparing case studies, and reporting on lessons learned from the Foundation's Healthy Eating by Design initiative

The Foundation's program, Healthy Eating By Design, was designed to support efforts of schools and communities to increase access to healthy, lower calorie foods through policy and environmental change in order to prevent obesity among children living in low-income, culturally diverse neighborhoods and communities. The purpose of this project is to provide technical assistance to eight selected grantees and to provide deliverables that include development tools, up to eight case studies of community partnerships designed to improve access to healthy food choices, and a report with lessons learned based on the case studies.
