Paths to Recovery: Changing the Process of Care for Substance Abuse Programs
The Foundation's initiative, Paths to Recovery: Changing the Process of Care for Substance Abuse Programs, was designed to strengthen the addiction treatment system's ability to successfully use process improvement techniques toward increasing patients' access to and retention in addiction treatment programs. The purpose of this project is to: (1) eliminate administrative duplication in the access system; (2) free up resources expended due to lack of knowledge about effective use of available technology; and (3) improve efficacy through new engagement strategies and matching clients to the appropriate level of care. The grantee builds on emerging community infrastructure, and affords grantee leadership, treatment staff, and consumers the opportunity to work together to increase capacity through improving the efficiency and efficacy.
