The Community Tool Box: An online resource for community health organizations

This grant provides continued support for the Community Tool Box(tm) (CTB), a comprehensive set of online planning, management, and evaluation resources for community organizations working on public health issues. CTB ( offers the most extensive and widely available single source for practical program management information in the field and on the Internet. Various Foundation programs, particularly Turning Point and Rallying Points, have used CTB extensively. Staff are working to develop more such partnerships. This grant will provide for continued broadening of CTB's core content, based on user feedback and new expertise in the field; developing new skills training materials; enhancing support and interactive features through tailored links to other resources; and promoting CTB's widespread use and sustained development. Success will be determined by user feedback regarding the comprehensiveness of the CTB information, the ease of working with CTB's searchable database of specific applications, and whether these tools were helpful to users.
