The Foundation's Active Living Research program was designed to support investigator-initiated research to identify and assess structural, environmental, and policy changes with the potential to increase population levels of physical activity.The purpose of this project is to develop an instrument to assess the characteristics and related properties of public recreation spaces. A content valid instrument will be developed through a Delphi process of surveying experienced park and recreational professionals and community residents who are park users. A subsequent study will evaluate the inter-rater reliability of the parks and recreation space instrument.
