Hablamos Juntos: Improving Patient-Provider Communication for Latinos

The Foundation's program, Hablamos Juntos: Improving Patient-Provider Communication for Latinos, was designed to demonstrate and assess institutional interventions to provide medical interpretation and translation services for Latinos who have limited English-speaking abilities.This is a planning grant under Hablamos Juntos, a program to explore models of increasing access to medical interpretation for limited English-speaking patients, and develop explanatory signage and print materials within health care institutions. The purpose of this project is to develop a model interpretation/translation delivery system to create access to effective health care for their Hispanic/Latino population.
