SmokeLess States: National Tobacco Policy Initiative

The Foundation's SmokeLess States: National Tobacco Policy Initiative is a program that supports development and implementation of comprehensive statewide strategies to reduce tobacco use through education, treatment, and policy initiatives.The Idaho Primary Care Association has received a grant on behalf of the Coalition for a Healthy Idaho. The Coalition will: (1) work to reduce exposure to secondhand smoke through local clean indoor air initiatives; (2) secure statewide commitment to, and funding for, a comprehensive tobacco prevention and control program for Idaho; and (3) continue to expand and develop the Coalition as an effective advocacy group for tobacco prevention and control polices.
