Surveying the consequences of uninsurance

Although the number of uninsured Americans continues to grow, the magnitude and consequences of the problem are not fully understood or appreciated by policy makers, opinion leaders, and the general public. The purpose of this project is to survey the evidence about the health, economic, and social consequences of the growing number of uninsured Americans and identify six topics for further, focused analysis. The results of these six studies, to be released periodically over the life of the project, will be communicated to key audiences in a way designed to maximize their impact on elite and public opinion.
