Technical assistance and direction for RWJF's Faith in Action program

The Foundation's program, Faith in Action®, was designed to expand the continued replication of the Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers Model, providing volunteer caregiving to people of all ages with chronic health conditions.Under this 12-month technical assistance and direction grant, staff of the Faith in Action II National Program Office will conduct the following activities: furnish and equip a National Program Office in Pearl River, New York; develop an application and proposal review process for the Faith in Action II grants program; establish an extensive advisory infrastructure for Faith in Action, including a National Advisory Committee and an informal network of advisors with expertise in the broad range of areas relevant to the program; develop and implement an intensive technical assistance strategy for program applicants and grantees, including hard-copy materials and Internet-based resources, as well as training provided in the field by a team of regional technical assistance facilitators; develop and oversee communications activities to stimulate interest in Faith in Action, highlight the efforts of Faith in Action coalitions, and promote the program's mission in communities nationwide; and plan and conduct a variety of knowledge-builidng activities, including research efforts and a series of seminars focusing on issues pertinent to Faith in Action.
