Actuarial analysis of proposals for Health Coverage 2000 Conference
One of the key obstacles to national action on the uninsured issue is the lack of feasible proposals to reduce the number of uninsured. To increase the public awareness of the uninsured issue and the public's belief that there are feasible solutions, the Foundation is sponsoring the Health Coverage 2000 conference on January 13, 2000, as a forum for eight interest groups to present their proposals for covering the uninsured. The purpose of this project is to perform standard actuarial analysis of the benefits packages for each of the eight proposals that will be presented at that meeting so that the media and the public can better compare the costs of the proposals and their impact on the uninsured.
