Nurse Executive Leadership Conference

This grant helps support an invitational conference for top executive nurse leaders from large teaching hospital systems, university nursing schools, public health agencies, and key policy bodies concerned with nursing care. The conference is part of a series conducted by Harvard University Nursing Research Institute, based in the Department of Health Policy and Management, School of Public Health. The conference sessions are targeted on senior executives within nursing responsible for addressing the consequences to patient care of the massive change and transformation underway in the U.S. health care system. The 1999 session is specifically focused on the leadership capacities required by current and future executive nurses. This goal corresponds to the purpose of the RWJF Executive Nurse Fellows Program, and the Program will form the centerpiece of the 1999 session.
