Production of material (video, Web, marketing) to communicate success of Boston Strategy to reduce youth homicide

This program contract supports the development and production of materials to help communicate the successful experience of the Boston Strategy in reducing that city's youth homicide rate to other communities. Materials include an introductory video, a Web-based resource manual, and marketing materials. The Boston Police Department has committed staff and resources to market and maintain the Web site and fulfill requests for the video. In July 1998, a group from the Boston Strategy made a presentation of its work, discussing why and how it was able to achieve dramatic reductions in that city's youth homicide rate. The Boston Strategy has been overwhelmed with requests for information, training and inspiration. The products developed under this project will provide other communities with a more thorough introduction to the work of the Strategy and guidance to implement a similar effort.
