Establishment of a New Jersey Health Policy Center

The purpose of this grant is to establish The Center for State Health Policy at Rutgers University, which will focus the extensive and varied academic resources of the University on health policy development in New Jersey. The Center will serve as a resource to executive branch agencies that deal with health issues, the legislature, professional organizations, consumer groups, and the wide variety of private not-for-profit entities interested in health care. The work of the Center will be divided into two separate units reflecting distinct areas of expertise: one in a quick-response policy development advisory role and the other to develop and conduct the Center's public health, health services, and social services research agenda.
