Feasibility of a long-term inter-generational residential community for disabled and elderly persons
What will happen to their disabled children when the children become adults is a troubling question facing caregiving parents of disabled people. This grant project is intended to explore an answer to this question through a feasibility study of an inter-generational living concept that would assure life care for dependent disabled people reaching their adult years. The study will be conducted under the auspices of Baker Industries, Inc., Paoli, Pennsylvania--a non-profit, tax exempt organization specializing in employment training and social support services for the disabled and for recovering addicts including the homeless. The funds will be applied to consultant costs and to market financial studies.
