Pilot educational network for the advancement of public health program management

This is a project to create an educational network to support management excellence in local and state public health officials in a four-state region. The network will draw upon existing management training programs, modifying coursework to include public health relevant examples. It will build a self-sustaining system to enhance management competencies in areas such as finance, information systems, human resources, procurement, and strategic planning. The goal of this four-state pilot project will be to strengthen the abilities of managers in the operation of agency functions and health programs.
