This grant supports a project to research, develop and test messages for a campaign to reduce teen impaired driving. Although the Foundation will not be participating in or funding the actual campaign being developed by the National Commission Against Drunk Driving (NCADD) and Scholastic, Inc., it is interested in the message development component. Researched and tested messages will assist the Foundation's Reducing Underage Drinking program and other alcohol grantees who are addressing youth drinking and driving issues. Under this grant, research will be conducted to identify and assess existing messages and communications campaigns. New messages tailored for youth, parents, and law enforcement officials will be developed and tested through a series of focus groups and mall intercepts.
