Conference to assess the impact of budget cuts and structural changes in Medicaid

The purpose of this project is to convene a meeting of state health experts to assess the potential impacts of budget cuts and structural changes in the Medicaid program. The goal for the meeting will be to develop quickly information that will help states in the redesign of Medicaid, including who will be eligible, the scope of services, service limitations, allocation among acute and long-term care, and the selection, organization and payment to providers. The results from the conference will be widely disseminated through a series of papers distributed directly to the states and a book summarizing the key issues.
