Household surveys on tobacco control for Smokeless States grantees

The Foundation's SmokeLess States: National Tobacco Policy Initiative is a program that supports development and implementation of comprehensive statewide strategies to reduce tobacco use through education, treatment, and policy initiatives.Under this contract, Mathematica Policy Research, Inc., will provide SmokeLess States grantees with a series of household surveys on tobacco control issues and a program of technical assistance. They will: (1) prepare a survey questionnaire; (2) administer the survey; (3) prepare reports for each of the SmokeLess States grantees, as well as summary reports; (4) provide technical assistance to help the states interpret and use the survey data; and (5) provide technical assistance to states in organizing focus groups on tobacco policy development issues.This award was made with the understanding that no Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funds would be used for lobbying of any kind.
