Expanded technical assistance and direction for the Opening Doors program

The program, Opening Doors: A Program to Reduce Sociocultural Barriers to Health Care, is a joint program with the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, was designed to support demonstration and research projects that have the potential for improving access to maternal, child, and reproductive health services by reducing sociocultural barriers to care.This grant provides continued technical assistance and direction to the 11 projects being recommended under the Opening Doors Program. The National Program Office will also conduct activities related to increasing the nation's awareness of sociocultural barriers as an impediment to accessing health care services.
