All Kids Count

The Foundation's program, All Kids Count: Establishing Immunization Monitoring and Follow-up Systems, was designed to support the development and implementation of monitoring and follow-up systems to improve and sustain access to immunizations for preschool children. This is one of 23 one-year planning grants under the All Kids Count program. The main goal of the program is to establish immunization monitoring and follow-up systems in an effort to increase immunization rates among preschool children and reduce rates of illness, disability, and death from vaccine-preventable diseases. During this one-year period, the grantee will organize an advisory committee that will develop a plan to identify all existing immunization services, identify service gaps and barriers and develop strategies to overcome them, evaluate the current record keeping system, enter and update immunization information on all Nevada Children ages 0-5 years old, and communicate collected data to parents, providers and public officials. In addition, they will focus on maintaining confidentiality of client records, developing an adequate follow-up and referral system, identifying monies to maintain the system once established, and institutionalizing the system statewide.
