The Foundation's program, Local Funding Partnerships, was designed to continue a matching grants program to establish partnerships between RWJF and local grant makers in support of innovative, community-based projects that improve health and health care for vulnerable populations. This grant represents a transfer of funds from the Arkansas Community Foundation, under the Local Initiative Funding Partners Program, to the CornerStone Project which is now incorporated, has received an IRS tax designation of 501(c)(3) and has formed a board of directors. This project is for the establishment of a service center for approximately 5,200 to 7,800 high-risk youth that will have the capacity to address, in one setting, the multiple needs and problems confronting these young people.
