Supporting United Way of Central Jersey's fund drive, 1990

Although the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation became a national philanthropy in 1972 and has operated on a national scale since then, it also has continued funding a limited number of local institutions and projects in the New Brunswick area and throughout New Jersey. It does so in part to honor the legacy of its founder, and in part to recognize the special responsibilities to the communities and the state in which it is located. This grant will continue support for the programs of the United Way of Central Jersey's member agencies. In 1991, this will consist of 95 programs by 33 members organizations located in Middlesex County and Franklin Township. The programs cover a broad range of human service needs. They include services for children, youth and families; for the disabled and retarded; and for the indigent and homebound.
