Dementia Care and Respite Services Program
The Foundation's Dementia Care and Respite Services Program was designed to expand the availability of dementia-specific day programs, other community and in-home respite services, and related health and supportive services.This Phase II grant will enable the project to determine whether it can expand provision of day programs and other respite and health-related services needed by people with dementia and their caregivers in a financially viable manner. To accomplish this, the grantee consortium will: (1) expand census to 14/day at Sinai, 16/day at Village Church, 13/Saturday and 8/day in extended hours program at St. Ann's; (2) continue consortium model of shared staff training, marketing and promotion; (3) increase private pay revenues from 23 to 36 percent of total operating expenses (projected pay revenue totaling $112,870 by end of grant period); and (4) decrease reliance on non-operating revenue from 37 to 21 percent of total operating expenses.
