Dementia Care and Respite Services Program

The Foundation's Dementia Care and Respite Services Program was designed to expand the availability of dementia-specific day programs, other community and in-home respite services, and related health and supportive services. This Phase II grant will enable the project to determine whether it can expand provision of day programs and other respite and health-related services needed by people with dementia and their caregivers in a financially viable manner. To accomplish this, the grantee will: (1) serve 16 participants per day at the Dementia Care Center, 19 per day at the Integrated Care Center, and Saturday service 10 per day; (2) add an ancillary transportation service; (3) increase private pay revenues from 16 to 47 percent of total operating expenses, with projected private pay revenue totaling $201,552 by end of grant period.
