Mental Health Services Program for Youth

The Foundation's Mental Health Services Program for Youth was designed to improve mental health services for seriously mentally ill children and youth through the development of comprehensive service systems under the aegis of multi-agency, state-community partnerships that can make major changes in financing, organization, and delivery of services. This project will develop a more comprehensive and coordinated service system for seriously mentally ill youth in Delaware County. Major objectives of the project include the shifting of mental health funding from hospital-based to community-based services and increasing the funding and coordination of services across five service delivery systems. During this development phase, this project will secure matching funds, develop interdepartmental approaches that will allow for the pooling of funds across categorical agencies, plan and/ or implement selected Medicaid financing strategies and further define the work plan.
