Development of a mother and infant care training program

The goal of this grant project is to improve access to maternity and infant care in isolated rural communities. The target area is Tierra Amarillo, in the remote mountainous region of northern New Mexico. Most of the residents are descendents of early Spanish settlers, and more than a third live in extreme poverty.
