The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Executive Nurse Fellows program has launched a new Web site that provides an in-depth look at this unique and prestigious leadership program and its fellows and alumni.
The new ExecutiveNurseFellows.org features a series of videos from the programs’ fellows and alumni discussing their experiences in the program—from the professional to the personal. The Web site also offers information for potential applicants, program updates, and a host of resources.
Eight videos feature interviews with scholars and alumni on a variety of topics: the benefits of the Executive Nurse Fellows program, enhancing leadership, fulfilling the mission of RWJF, the program’s impact, personal leadership transformation, professional impact, and the experience of being in the program. ExecutiveNurseFellows.org also features program evaluation data and written testimonials from fellows collected in a survey of the program’s alumni in 2010.
The Executive Nurse Fellows program is a three-year leadership development program for senior-level nurses who aspire to lead and shape health care locally and nationally. It has graduated more than 200 Scholars to date, and will announce its newest cohort in early August.
Information for prospective applicants is available on the new Web site, including eligibility criteria and information about the selection process and the informational web conference held each year for interested applicants. The program’s co-directors are featured in four additional videos describing the program, its benefits and impact.
The Executive Nurse Fellows program is located at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), and co-directed by: Linda Cronenwett, Ph.D., R.N., F.A.A.N., the Beerstecher Blackwell Term Professor and former dean of the School of Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and David Altman, executive vice president of Research, Innovation and Product Development at CCL.
