Research, Evaluation and Learning Signature Programs

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's four research programs, which include multi-disciplinary and multi-sector research teams, are working to identify the root causes of inequitable health outcomes in America and potential solutions that can positively impact health.

Evidence for Action

Evidence for Action (E4A) funds research that yields convincing findings regarding the population health, well-being, and equity impacts of specific policies, programs and partnerships.

Health Data for Action (HD4A) links researchers with highly valued health datasets, and funds research that uses this data to help answer important, policy-relevant questions.

Policies for Action

Policies for Action (P4A) funds research that identifies policies, laws, and other regulatory tools in the public and private sectors that can support RWJF’s mission to build a Culture of Health.
