To address the expectations for active consumer involvement in the health care system, the National Alliance for Hispanic Health will develop an annual national Buena Salud (Good Health) survey of a representative sample of Hispanics on health care status, access and utilization; quality of care; and opinions on key health care issues of the day. The project's key deliverables will be an annual Buena Salud survey report in 2013 and 2014 on Hispanics' health experiences, a total of three quarterly survey supplements providing timely data on emerging health issues, and Web and social-media platforms for surveying Hispanic consumers on current health issues. The project's key outcome will be establishment of a trusted and timely data source on Hispanics' health perceptions, experiences, and needs in order to foster improved service delivery and engagement of Hispanic consumers as self-advocates in their health care. A deliverable will be a public-use dataset for inclusion in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Health and Medical Care Archive.
